Tumi Morake is a South African comedian and actress who hosts Sunday Sexy Love, a talk show that explores the relationships of some of Mzansi’s most-loved celebrity couples. She recently posted a clip of the episode that featured Nonku Williams and RD, who have since broken up.

Nonku Williams is a reality TV star who appeared on The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD), a show that follows the personal and professional lives of several women living in Durban. She was engaged to RD, whose real name is Dumisani Ndlazi, a businessman and the owner of AmaZulu Football Club.

The couple’s relationship and break-up have been surrounded by rumours and controversies. Some reports claimed that RD swindled money out of Nonku, while others questioned their compatibility and motives. RD denied the allegations and said that he loved Nonku and provided for her as a man.

Tumi Morake took to the comments section of her Instagram post to address the critics and haters of Nonku and RD. She said that people should grow up and stop judging their relationship based on their own assumptions and biases. She said that just because a relationship is over does not mean that the feelings and experiences are irrelevant.

She wrote: “Yeah mara also let’s grow up. Just because a relationship is over doesn’t necessarily mean the feelings and experiences are irrelevant. Sometimes you look back and go ‘it was good, it could have been better’ or ‘it had potential, pity it didn’t survive xyz’.

Guys, life is not perfect, jokes aside. Four-day relationships end, 40-year relationships end, but the essence of the moment that relationship lived in can only be judged by the people in it. Ke feditse ankerr. Just watch and enjoy. Danko. PS nobody said true love always lasts forever.”

She also added a graphic art of Nonku and RD holding hands with a heart-shaped balloon in the background.

Nonku Williams and RD’s legal battle

Nonku Williams has not commented publicly on her break-up with RD or the rumours that he scammed her out of money. However, during the first part of the two-part reunion special of RHOD season 3 in May, she was asked by host MaBlerh to address the rumours.

Nonku responded by saying that she did not want to talk about what transpired between them as they were dealing with the matter legally. She said that she had filed a case against RD for fraud and theft.

She said: “I don’t want to talk about it because it’s something we are dealing with legally. I opened a case against him for fraud and theft.”

She also said that she was hurt by his actions and that she felt betrayed by him.

She said: “I was hurt because I trusted him. I loved him. I gave him everything. He betrayed me.”
