Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) team manager Azwihangwisi Phasha has confirmed to iDiski Times that Johnny Ferreira is back as the side’s head coach.

Ferreira left the Motsepe Foundation Championship side in November last year citing financial instability then soon after joined local rivals Black Leopards. In his short stint at Lidoda duvha Ferreira couldn’t qualify for the Nedbank cup and registered just one win in three league games leaving Leopards bottom of the log with 12 points in 15 matches.

Meanwhile TTM found themselves without a coach following Lucky Nelukau’s arrest by the police. Phasha says Ferreira and the management have sorted their issues and he started training with the team today.

“We have rehired Mr Johnny Ferreira back into our club. He started working today. He will be in charge of the derby against VFA on Friday afternoon at Thohoyandou stadium. We have resolved everything, the past is gone. We have been following the situation with him and his previous team. Obviously when he gave me a phone call I didn’t hesitate. I told him with warm hands, please come back home” he told iDiski Times.

“Honestly speaking he is a very good coach with good experience. He is a good motivator and  he is a father figure to the players. When he came today, when he jumped off his car, the players were very happy, smiling and giving him hugs. You could see that they really missed him and they really needed him back. They were not aware that he is coming back so you could see they really love him, and they are ready to work with him.”

TTM are in 11th position on the championship log with 16 points in 15 outings.
