  • Parts of northern Pretoria will face 12-hour water cuts on 2, 4 and 9 September due to planned reservoir maintenance by the City of Tshwane.
  • The work will affect areas including Magalieskruin, Sinoville, Montana, Annlin and Wonderboom.
  • Residents are urged to store enough water for household use during the interruptions.

Some residents in Pretoria’s northern areas will experience temporary water outages in the coming days as the City of Tshwane undertakes planned maintenance work.

The City’s Water and Sanitation Business Unit confirmed that cleaning operations will be carried out at the Magalieskruin, Sinoville HL, and Sinoville LL reservoirs.

Each maintenance session will result in a 12-hour water supply interruption, scheduled from 08:00 to 20:00 on the respective dates.

The City outlined the schedule as follows:

      •     Magalieskruin Reservoir: 2 September 2025

      •     Sinoville HL Reservoir: 4 September 2025

      •     Sinoville LL Reservoir: 9 September 2025

The following areas will be affected:

      •     Annlin Extension 56 and 57

      •     Hartebeestfontein 324-JR

      •     Magalieskruin and Extensions 1, 3, 9, 45 and 78

      •     Montana and Montana AH, including Extension 62

      •     Sinoville and Extensions 2, 3 and 29

      •     Wonderboom 302-JR and Extensions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9

Residents are urged to store sufficient water in advance for household use during the outages.

In a media statement, the city apologised for the inconvenience, stating the maintenance is necessary to ensure reliable service delivery.
