TS Galaxy captain Given Msimango has warned his side not to take winless Golden Arrows lightly ahead of their DStv Premiership encounter on Saturday. Galaxy have been impressive in the new season, whilst Arrows have been struggling.
The Rockets have collected seven points and are yet to concede, whilst Abafana Bes’thende have a single point from three outings.
“For us, it’s just to go there and compete. Golden Arrows are still a strong team. It will be a tough challenge away from home, given that they haven’t won any game yet. They would like to collect their first maximum points with us,” Msimango told the media.
“We’ll try by all means to go there, present ourselves and win. I think we should continue working hard, doing the basics then results will come. We’ve proven in the first three games what we’ve been doing is working.”
“There is nothing much to change. We just have to build on the consistency and try to win more games. We are buzzing. We are happy about the good start, given how we started last season. We on different circumstances now. The squad is happy, working hard and looking forward to next coming games.”
The 25-year-old further revealed the impact brought in by the experienced new signings trio of Bernard Parker, Sbusiso Vilakazi and Xola Mlambo.
“The team is young and experienced as well; having Villa [Sbusiso Vilakazi], [Bernard] Parker and [Xola] Mlambo is great. They bring a lot of leadership to the team.”
“They’ve won a lot of things in their careers. They are bringing that winning mentality just to add to what we already have. Great additions, we look forward to playing with them,” he concluded.
Kickoff at Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday is at 3pm.
