Trouble in paradise: Kabza de Small and his fiancée break up 6 months after paying lobola

Amapiano king Kabelo “Kabza de Small” Motha and his long-term partner have allegedly broken up.

The Asibe Happy hitmaker had already paid lobola for his bae, Kamogelo Moropa – according to an article by TrueLove Magazine in October 2021.

The news of the couple’s split comes two weeks after a YouTuber by the name of Nicole Maleka claimed the Hello producer paid lobola while he was still in a relationship with her.

News of the award-winning musician’s split broke on Friday 29 April. Controversial and under-fire social media entertainment commentator Musa Khawula reported that the pair are no longer together.

In an article by a local publication last year, it was reported that the couple had involved their families into their relationship when Kabza paid lobola for Kamogelo.

“He has been wearing two iziphandla on his wrists since the end of last month. He is not posting his wife because that’s something they agreed on. Kamo, on the other hand, posted a picture of herself in traditional attire and tagged him,” a source had told the publication.

The source, who is allegedly a friend to Kabza, also revealed that the couple had been dating on and off before their engagement.

“They have been dating – on and off – for some time now. He even dated someone else, but that didn’t work out because he loves Kamo.”

The source also revealed that a very private Kabza and his now-ex were planning to have a white wedding.

Meanwhile, a YouTuber took to the video content creation platform on Sunday 10 April to claim that she is Kabza’s side chick.

Nicole Maleka, who co-hosts a show called Sip or Spill with her friend Kween Lelo, took to the channel to reveal that Kabza paid lobola for Kamogelo while he was still in a relationship with her.

When questioned by a viewer of the show about her feelings toward the muso’s engagement, she said: ”It did break me. Chomi you are my witness. I was literally in ICU (metaphor meaning she was devastated) at the time,” she replied.

Nicole is also DJ and producer Heavy K’s ex-girlfriend.
