‘Train yourself to start working in silence’ Somizi Mhlongo on living a private life

Heavyweight entertainer Somizi Mhlongo recently took to his Instagram timeline to inform his fans that people should learn to live a private life. The award-winning star pointed out that he turned 50 this year and realised the advantages and benefits of living a private life.

Taking to Instagram, Somizi said:

“I just turned 50 and it proved that it’s never too late to start things that are beneficial for you. Lesson for today that I want to share with you is; train yourself to start working in silence.  Start doing things privately and secretly with people that you are supposed to do them with, and stop oversharing and even stop sharing until it is signed, it is sealed and it is delivered. Because sometimes we tend to share stuff, our plans, our goals and career move with ears and hearts that don’t wish us well, so until it is signed, sealed and delivered keep it to yourself,” he said.

In his mentions many of his followers were attesting to how this mantra is a recipe that they’ve been living by.

“Thanks Somizi, it took me decades… yooh… I wish I had been listening to this all my life,” wrote one.

“So true I have been doing this for 1 year 8 months I have seen my evolvement and involvement -growth has measured double compared to last 13 years yassis it’s a blissful feeling peace and harmony from afar zero toxicity,” added another.

The Idols SA judge recently turned heads after the announcement that he was back on the airwaves.

Somizi will be joining Metro FM’s 9am-12pm The Bridge alongside Quinton “Naked DJ” Masina and new host Khutso Theledi.

He is doubling up for another show on the station called The Weekend Breakfast Sounds Good with Mat Elle between 6 and 9am.
