Tracy out of ICU after seven days

Amapiano singer Tracy Sibiya has been discharged after spending seven days in intensive care.

She was involved in a crash over the Easter weekend that involved her fellow artist Thatohatsi, and members of their road team while they were travelling to a performance.

The incident raised alarm, particularly as it came just days before the planned release of their joint amapiano EP, Uhambo, scheduled for 24 April 2026.

In an earlier statement, management confirmed the severity of the situation, saying, “Singers Thatohatsi (Thato Raphadi), Tracy (Lethiwe Tracy Sibiya) and three members of their road team were involved in a car accident that could have turned tragic.”

Emergency responders arrived swiftly at the scene, and all those involved, including a driver, DJ and road manager, were rushed to hospital for medical attention.

Despite the frightening nature of the crash, the team later reassured the public, stating the artists were in “stable condition and receiving necessary medical attention,” while emphasising that their health remained the top priority.

Tracy has now broken her silence after being discharged from ICU, confirming that she spent a full week under intensive care due to the extent of her injuries.

Her release marks a significant step in her recovery after what has been described as a life-threatening ordeal.

While the exact cause of the accident has not yet been revealed, the sudden nature of the crash left little time for those involved to react.

Thatohatsi is also said to be recovering, as both artists shift their focus toward healing before making any return to the stage.
