‘Top Gun: Maverick’ actor James Handy stabbed to death

James Handy, the 81-year-old actor who made a name for himself through films like Top Gun: Maverick and Jumanji, has been stabbed to death.

The actor was allegedly stabbed by Michael Gledhill, who is the son of his live-in girlfriend. Gledhill lives in the same house as Handy and his mother.

According to Rolling Stone, Gledhill, 44-year-old stabbed Handy in a domestic dispute.

Page Six reports that authorities responded on Wednesday morning after a caller stated, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”

Handy’s death was confirmed by his agent, Pam Ellis-Evanas: “With great sadness I can confirm that the gentleman who was attacked and killed on Wednesday in Tarzana was the actor James Handy.”

According to NBC News, Glenhill was arrested on a count of murder, and was being held in lieu of $2 million (R32 567 100) bail.
