Tom Holland, the British actor known to fans worldwide as Spider-Man, has temporarily stepped back from filming after suffering a mild concussion on set.

The 29-year-old star was working on Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow earlier this year when the accident occurred.

TOM HOLLAND TAKES A BREAK

A source close to the production confirmed that Holland will take a short break from filming for precautionary reasons.

“Tom Holland experienced a mild concussion, so he will take a break from filming and return to work in a few days as a precaution” the source told CNN.

“Thankfully, no one else was affected and production will continue on as planned.”

Tom Holland was not admitted to hospital, and according to insiders, the setback will not delay filming schedules.

Representatives for Marvel, Sony and Holland have not yet responded to further comment requests.

South African fans of the Marvel franchise have reacted with concern online but expressed relief that the injury was not more severe.

TOM HOLLAND AS ‘SPIDERMAN’

The latest film marks Tom Holland’s fourth time playing the beloved superhero since his 2016 debut in Captain America: Civil War, according to E News.

Speaking about the new instalment in July, Holland said: “It’s been such a long time that I’ve done it that it’s going to feel like a breath of fresh air.

I think the fans are going to be over the moon with what we’re putting together.” Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues production despite Holland’s recovery.

FRIENDLY NEIGHBOURHOOD, SPIDERMAN

Spiderman is popular because he represents the everyday hero that people can relate to.

Unlike many superheroes, Peter Parker is a young man who faces ordinary struggles such as school, work, friendships, and responsibility. This is all while also carrying the weight of extraordinary powers.

His story combines action with emotion, showing that strength comes not only from superhuman abilities but also from resilience, heart, and sacrifice.
