South African actress Thuthuka Mthembu is famously known in Mzansi for her role in Uzalo playing Nonka. She has been part of the cast for several years now and is part of the show’s recurring cast. Because of this, her storylines are close to people’s hearts, and other people relate to some of them. Taking to Instagram today, Thuthuka Mthembu shared a cute childhood picture as she celebrated her birthday.

In Uzalo, Nonka is a girl who was once married to Sbonelo,a doctor, but her mother-in-law did not approve of her. She ended up in a polygamous marriage because Gabisile, her mother-in-law, wanted someone from a wealthy family for her son. After leaving the union, Nonka returned to college, where she got laughed at for being older. However, she ended up graduating despite the problems she faced.

Nonka, unlucky in love, met Kwanda, a wealthy man who had spoiled her recently and started dating. However, it all ended in tears again after Nonka was arrested for drug possession. Her boyfriend had used their shop for his drug business without the knowledge of his girlfriend. To make matters worse, Kwanda was not apologetic about it, and embarrassed Nonka had to go back to living with her cousin Lily.

In the photo, the actress was around five years of age or less, cutting her birthday cake while smiling at the camera. The caption to the post was all about thanksgiving. She thanks God for his grace, mercy, kindness, love and many more gifts. The actress says thanks for this day and forever to come.

To close the caption, Thuthuka shares that she is now 24 years of age which has come as a shock to her followers. The actress has been in the entertainment scene for some time, and viewers assumed she was older than her actual age. Her onscreen character has been married before and divorced. Many people would think that she is in her late twenties and not younger because Nonka is older than 24.
