Actress Thuthuka Mthembu is one of Mzansi’s most adored, and talented young thespians.

The actress gained prominence after she landed the role of Nonka on the SABC1’s top soapie Uzalo, and she has since become a household name with a legion of fans.

It is no secret that fame comes with meeting a lot of fans every day, and it can be overwhelming. Some demand pictures with you, while others expect you to hug them.

But, some of Thuthuka’s fans have taken it too far as they kiss her on the lips, and she is fuming. According to Daily Sun, the actress says she loves her fans dearly, but doesn’t want them to kiss her on the mouth because this makes her feel uncomfortable.

“I love my fans deeply. But sometimes they put me in an uncomfortable position. There are different incidents where some of them go as far as kissing me on the mouth. For me, this is not right,” said Thuthuka.

Thuthuka went on to say that it’s hard to be a celebrity because people judge you, and when fans get overwhelmed by excitement and do things that you don’t like, it would come across as rude or arrogant.

“Being celebrated is hard. And people are sensitive towards celebrities. It is easy for them to judge us. To them, it’s like we are living in another planet. Imagine telling an excited person to stop what they are doing? That would be interpreted as rude or arrogant. That’s what I sometimes go through. have to smile and pretend that everything is fine, whereas it’s the opposite,” she added.

She went on to say that fans must be taught how to treat celebrities because they are human too.

“I think fans must be taught how to treat celebrities. I don’t know who should teach them. But they must know that celebrities have rules and feelings as well. I know that without my fans, I’m nothing. I regard them as my bosses. But they must know that we must treat each other in a respectful way,” she added.

Another celeb who recently gave fans a piece of her mind is DJ Lamiez Holworthy. Taking to her Instagram stories, he lashed out at rude fans who don’t greet her when asking to take pictures with her.

“At least have the decency to GREET, and then ASK. Don’t just shove your phone in my face like I am a statue in the zoo. ” she wrote.

Lamiez was not the only public figure to encounter this. The Queen actress Jessica Nkosi also took to her Instagram account to criticize rude fans. “Kodwa ke let’s respect one another… To come to me and just order me to take a picture with you. No greeting, no asking. Cha phela let’s respect one another please. Thank You!,” she said.

“I will call you to order and let you know that, that was rude. DON’T BE RUDE. I can’t stand rudeness.” she added. While Jessica rarely takes pictures with fans, she will do so, but she wants to be respected. “And yazi i literally hardly ever say no to pictures, like i will take a pic with you but again… respect please. I am also a person that deserves respect.”
