Three Dstv Premiership players suspended after complaining for un agreed salary cuts

DStv Marumo Gallants Premiership Club confirmed the sudden suspension of three of its players.

The three players include Tlou Masegela, Aluwani Nedzamba and Simon Mamudzidi, a midfielder (Main picture, on the left).

FARPost saw each player get a suspension notice of 29 September 2021.

“The gravity of the charges means that you are hereby suspended from the club activities with immediate effect. You will soon be notified of the charges and date of the hearing,” the notice of suspension reads.

The club has not disclosed to the players the allegations or charges.

But the magazine found that after expressing concerns about wage reduction, the players were suspended.

The players have also been told to take the action in the South African football players’ union (SAFPU), and the hierarchy of the club over what they say is a ‘internal’ issue has not been very well-adjusted.

A statement confirmed the latest changes late on Wednesday night but could not specify the reasons.

“After the meeting convened by the senior management to address individual players today, Tholang Masegela, Aluwani Nedzamba and Simon Mamudzidi have been suspended.

The management won’t discuss the suspension reasons now, since this is still an inner issue,” claimed the club.
