Thobeka Majozi honoured in Women’s month ceremony

Influencer Thobeka Majozi recently shared a heartfelt account of her participation in a special Women’s Month event held at Durban City Hall.

Attending alongside her mother, Majozi described the occasion as a moment of history and a deeply spiritual experience.

She revealed that she was invited to symbolically “take on the baton” from the generation of women before her, representing her peers and passing the baton to the Mayor for safekeeping.

The tradition, she explained, will see the baton handed again in 25 years to a new group of women leaders.

The ceremony paid tribute to the women of 1956, who marched in defiance of apartheid pass laws, and brought together women from diverse backgrounds across South Africa in 2025.

As part of the gathering, participants presented a memorandum of gratitude for the freedoms enjoyed today, both in society and in faith, while also offering prayers for progress in areas where the nation still struggles.

Reflecting on the day, Majozi expressed humility and devotion, saying, “I’m just a little girl at the feet of Jesus with a burden for His harvest.”
