This is what Chiefs are missing right now

Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has noted renewed and powered up Amakhosi squad, but still sees a missing element.

Hunt offered his views just before the Glamour Boys traveled to eThekwini to claim a 1-0 win over his side at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

KAIZER CHIEFS YET TO FIND WINNING FORMULA

The four-time Betway Premiership champion was in charge of 44 games as a Khosi, winning 12, drawing 17 and losing 15.

Amakhosi’s challenge, he believes, is chemistry.

“They’ve got a good squad, maybe even too big a squad,” Hunt told Smash Sports podcast, as quoted by FARPost. “They just haven’t found their combinations. It happens at big clubs. You have 30 or 40 players, everyone’s good enough, but who plays and who gets left out?”

“A lot of players have come in,” Hunt continued. “There’s a big turnover, but supporters don’t care about that. Every season they just want to see new signings, even when maybe there’s no need.”

Meanwhile at the newly promoted City, Hunt’s side are in seventh-place with five wins, three draws and four defeats.

Kaizer Chiefs are in third with just three points off log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, including a game in hand for the Soweto giants.

MAGESI FC IN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP

Moving on, Amakhosi’s next run-out will only be on Saturday, 22 November, when they travel to Peter Mokaba Stadium to face Magesi FC in the Betway Premiership.
