Kelly Rowland, one-third of mega girl group Destiny’s Child, solo artist, and actress, is celebrating her 45th birthday.

Rowland celebrated her birthday with a photoshoot, posting on her Instagram with the caption: ‘This is 45’.

Born Kelendria Trene Rowland on 11 February in Atlanta, Georgia, she grew up as friends with music giant Beyonce Knowles-Carter in Houston, Texas.

In addition to creating a prolific solo career after Destiny’s Child, Rowland has several films under her belt.

She featured in Steve Harvey’s Think Like a Man in 2012, starred in Love by the 10th Date in 2017, and headlines Mea Culpa from 2024, amongst others.

Rowland is married to 52-year-old music executive Tim Witherspoon, whom she married in 2014. They have two sons together.

Destiny’s Child is still going strong

The group that brought success, fame, and fortune to Rowland, Knowles-Carter, and Michelle Williams is still active, with featured performances in Knowles-Carter’s tours every so often.

The trio performed at Knowles-Carter’s Cowboy Carter tour in July last year, a surprise her fans did not expect on the tour’s last show.
