Thembisa Mdoda second marriage reportedly ends

South African TV presenter and actress Thembisa Mdoda is reportedly heading for divorce after her marriage to Abie Nxumalo came to an end.

According to reports, the couple separated some time ago, with Nxumalo allegedly moving out of their Fourways marital home in 2024 and later renting an apartment in Northcliff.

The split is said to have followed a major fallout, with sources claiming tensions arose over Nxumalo’s associations.

The former Our Perfect Wedding host has been the subject of online speculation for months.

In February 2025, social media user @mixedraceuncle claimed on X that Mdoda’s marriage was in trouble, a claim that gained traction after Mdoda shared a heartfelt message addressed to her estranged husband.

Daily Sun reported on Saturday, 7 February 2026, that the pair have officially called it quits after five years of marriage.

A source close to the situation alleged that Mdoda has since instructed her lawyers to file for divorce, as she is determined to finalise the separation this year.
