The Royal Countess Zingara has returned to Johannesburg with its brand-new production, La Dolce Royal, at Melrose Arch. Having opened on the 20th of June 2026, the acclaimed dinner-cirque experience is back on the Highveld for the first time in more than 10 years.

Following a successful sold-out season in Cape Town, audiences can expect a fresh production inspired by rich history, royal courts and traditions of hospitality.

An experience nothing short of stunning

The iconic Spiegeltent has been transformed into an impressive royal setting designed by Richard Griffin. The new design combines influences from African kingdoms, North African craftsmanship and Byzantine architecture to create a unique and immersive atmosphere.

Upon arrival, you are welcomed into a world of elegance, music, theatre and breathtaking performances that celebrate beauty, connection and imagination.

World-class performers

Directed by Craig Leo and Valentina Leo, La Dolce Royal features an outstanding cast of local and international talent.

Highlights include former Cirque du Soleil aerial artists Juan Pablo Palacios and Victoria Perez Iacono, Las Vegas Rola Bola performer Axel Perez, contortionist Nokulunga Buthelezi and Johannesburg acrobat Samantha Kotze.

Together, they deliver an unforgettable and enchanting evening of acrobatics, live music and theatrical entertainment.

Undoubtedly, the world of Zingarians is one where reality wobbles and love always wins. It is the place to be for those who fancy the idea of being young and old at the same time. The event offers world-class entertainment coupled with a worthwhile gastronomic experience, making it ideal for foodies and entertainment lovers alike.
