On 13 July, musician and TV host Ntombee Mzolo shared on Instagram that she missed her beloved mother’s birthday because the airline delayed her flight by more than three hours.

NTOMBEE MZOLO MISSED MOM’S BIRTHDAY DUE TO FLIGHT DELAY

Ntombee explained that the FlySafair flight ruined her chance to celebrate her mother’s birthday since she planned to arrive after the soccer games wrapped up.

“Yaze yasenza I @flysafairza. The plan was to be home as soon as the games were done, so we could celebrate our Queen but when we arrived at the airport, we were told our flight had been delayed by more than 3 hours,” she began.

In her birthday message to her mother, Ntombee stated that she truly felt saddened by not being there; however, it does not affect how she feels about her. She continued to wish her legendary mother, Linah Ngcobo, a blessed birthday.

“Mama @mamngcobo, we hope you’ve had the most beautiful and blessed birthday. It breaks our hearts that we won’t make it back in time to celebrate with you today, but the distance doesn’t change how we feel about you,” she added.

LINAH NGCOBO DESCRIBED AS THE ‘HEART OF THE FAMILY’

Ntombee described her mother as the “heart of the family” and hoped that God’s blessings would keep pouring into her life, wishing her many more years ahead.

“Thank you for being our greatest blessing, our biggest supporter, and the heart of our family. We pray that God continues to cover you with His grace, bless you with good health, overflowing joy, and many more wonderful years,” she wrote.

Ntombee comes from a musical family; her mother, also known as Ebony, is an accomplished musician, while her father, Ihhashi Elimhlophe, has made remarkable strides in the maskandi industry.

In 2023 the iconic family secured a television reality show on Mzansi Magic titled, Ofuze which received mostly positive reviews.
