FARPost has it on good authority that an experienced PSL coach has been suspended for spitting at a player.
One can say that the 2022/23 campaign is not the season that the PSL coach would have hoped for, as he has made headlines mostly for the wrong reasons.
The player involved in this matter is Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila [TTM] midfielder Mokgantle Katleho.
It seems that Katleho had a dispute with the coach, which led to the unsporting behaviour.
As reported by this publication a week ago, the well-traveled coach Johnny Ferreira is suspended by TTM.
There is no PSL coach that has changed teams like Ferreira has done so far this season.
At the beginning of this campaign, Ferreira started as a TTM coach after parting ways with Venda Football Academy when the last term came to an end.
At TTM, he began the season like a house on fire, winning their opening six encounters and also finding themselves on the top of the table.
But in a turn of events, the 65-year-old mentor left TTM, citing financial instability as the main reason.
He then joined arch-rivals Black Leopards, where he tendered his resignation in just one month of being at the helm following a string of poor results.
Surprisingly, Ferreira returned to TTM after cutting ties with Lidoda Duvha.
WHY JOHNNY FERREIRA IS SUSPENDED BY TTM
FARPost worked tirelessly to gather what has led to the suspension of Ferreira at TTM.
This publication has learnt that Ferreira was suspended after he spit on the face of one of the player [Mokgantle Katleho].
Therefore, TTM decided to take a decision to place Ferreira on suspension with immediate effect. This will be pending on the ongoing investigations and disciplinary hearing on a charge of serious misconduct.
THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE CHARGE
The Motsepe Foundation Championship side regards the charge as serious enough to warrant summary dismissal without compensation. This will happen should Ferreira be found guilty at the hearing of this matter.
The coach has been advised to be reachable by cellphone and email during his suspension whilst the investigations are being finalised.
As things stand, TTM are languishing at the bottom of the log [15th place] with 19 points after 23 games.
