The Funny Chef recalls pregnancy scare after spotting

South African comedian and actress Lebohang Tlokana, better known as The Funny Chef, has shared an emotional update about her pregnancy journey, revealing that she experienced a frightening moment a few months ago.

Taking to her Instagram stories on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, the 35-year-old entertainer opened up about the scare that left her fearing the worst.

“A month or 2 ago, I found myself spotting and I started crying. I thought I did something wrong, and I imagined the worst,” she wrote.

She explained that she immediately called her parents, who rushed over and took her to the hospital.

Thankfully, her fears were put to rest after an ultrasound revealed her baby’s heartbeat.

“When we heard the little heartbeat through the ultrasound, we knew to never question God’s ways,” she added.

The Funny Chef described the experience as deeply emotional, especially because doctors had once told her she might never be able to have children.

“I am a very soft person and very sensitive. I could take a month to heal from something that has bothered my soul,” she shared.
