After Hugo Broos announced his latest Bafana Bafana squad, here are the 14 players who were dropped from his final 23-man squad for the upcoming friendly matches.
The Belgian tactician named 23 players in his squad for the matches against Eswatini and Ivory Coast on 13 and 17 October.
While Njabulo Blom returned and Sibongiseni Mthethwa is the only Kaizer Chiefs player in the squad, Paseka Mako received his first call-up even though he wasn’t even in the preliminary squad.
Broos confirmed that Orlando Pirates captain Innocent Maela as well as Mamelodi Sundowns dup Thapelo Morena and Bathusi Aubaas miss out due to injury.
Among the players dropped are three from Kaizer Chiefs, two from Orlando Pirates, two from SuperSport United and one each from Mamelodi Sundowns, Cape Town City, TS Galaxy and Luke Le Roux from Voldendam.
