Thato Immaculate

Reality TV star Thato Immaculate Mthombeni has addressed speculation surrounding her divorce from Brendon Mthombeni, famously known as Gash1.

Following her recent announcement that their three-year marriage had come to an end, social media quickly filled with theories about what could have gone wrong.

Many assumed cheating may have played a role, especially given the couple’s public image as one of Big Brother Mzansi’s success stories.

Thato, however, wasted no time in correcting that narrative.

Taking to the comment section on X, she directly addressed the rumours, writing: “Just to clear things up, it was not infidelity.”

Her response came after she initially revealed that the breakup was triggered by “incidents that happened the past few days that are irreconcilable by my standards and values.”

Despite her clarification, reactions online remained mixed.

While some users respected her decision to keep certain details private, others continued to speculate and questioned why she chose to speak out without fully explaining the situation.

Even so, Thato’s firm response drew a clear boundary, signalling that while she is willing to correct misinformation, she is not opening the door to further public scrutiny over the details of her marriage.

Just to clear things up, it was not infidelity.
