‘That thing can run’: Pirates legend praises Sebelebele

Orlando Pirates legend Moeneeb Josephs has praised new signing Kamogelo Sebelebele after his electrifying start to his Bucs career.

The 23-year-old attacker has scored three goals in six matches for the Sea Robbers this season across all competitions. His work-rate, speed and goal-scoring ability have made him one of the best players in the team under Abdeslam Ouaddou.

On Tuesday, Pirates claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Orbit College at the Orlando Stadium. Speaking on SoccerBeat, Josephs felt the Buccaneers only started playing well in the second half.

The former Pirates goalkeeper praised Patrick Maswanganyi, Sebelebele and Lebone Seema for their performance.

“We are a ball-balling team and once we give the ball to our speedy winger, oh my goodness. Sebelebele, that thing can also run and even when he runs with the ball, he is still nice and fluent. He can go 100 miles an hour but the ball still stays at his feet. There’s a lot of quality there,” Josephs said.

Sebelebele is a new favourite at Pirates

With Relebohile Mofokeng struggling for form, Sebelelbele has been a player to watch this season. His three goals for the team were crucial as they helped the team secure draws or win matches.

The Buccaneers face Chippa United in their next match in the Betway Premiership, hoping to collect three points and move up the table.

How good has Sebelebele been?
