The highly anticipated season 3 of Life With Kelly premiered on Showmax, Tuesday July 5 and boy did Kelly Khumalo drop a bombshell. The songstress spoke about the nature of Senzo Meyiwa’s relationship with his family, saying they apparently did not love him or even care that he is dead.
The reality show couldn’t have come at a better time, especially with all the coverage of the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial. On the very first episode, Kelly Khumalo speaks of how the late goalie’s family allegedly never loved him.
Speaking to her best friend Wanda Baloyi Kelly said, “That family did not love Senzo. They never loved him, he was their cash cow. You know the first thing that, that woman [his mother] said when Senzo passed on? She said who is going to feed us?” said Kelly. She then added, “Your son is dead, the only thing you are thinking about is food?” she exclaimed.
She even made accusations of how his mother apparently used traditional ways to get rid of her.
Kelly also implied that there was a time when she would take care of the family financially, unbeknownst to them.
“He [Senzo] would use all his money and give it to the family and be left broke every month and I would personally take care of him,” said the Empini hitmaker.
“You know the worst thing, they [Meyiwa’s] don’t know that they have had my money before,” she added.
She then said the family hates the fact that she did not die, instead the Bafana Bafana captain did.
Social media users are currently up in arms after an interview Kelly did with eNCA after the premier of Life With Kelly. She said nobody knew who Senzo was before he dated her.
“First of all I was Kelly Khumalo before Senzo Meyiwa. I did not know who Senoz Meyiwa was until a friend of mine Lucia Mthiyabe explained to me who he was. Nobody knew who Senzo Meyiwa was until he was attached to the brand Kelly Khumalo,” she claimed.
“I’ve had nothing to gain with either his gains or losses,” she continued.
In other news, one of the people who were in the house the night Senzo got murdered, Longwe Twala is ready to spill the beans. According to Sunday World Longwe was recently released from a drug rehab.
A source said, “Longwe is sober, and he’s a changed man now,” said a source. “Chicco is excited that his son is a changed man. The father-and-son had a heart-to-heart conversation and Longwe is prepared to tell the truth about Senzo,” added the source.
