Teyana Taylor talks about her friendship with Kanye West

Fresh off the Golden Globes stage after taking home the trophy for Best Supporting Female Actor in a film, Teyana Taylor has spoken about her friendship with controversial rapper and producer Kanye West.

In her recent interview with Vanity Fair, Taylor expressed that her friendship with West is not predicated on what he says or does.

“I don’t have to agree with everything that he do or say, but I’m not going to, like, abandon him and be like, ‘Yeah, eff that m*********er,’ ” she says.

“My brothers do shit that I don’t agree with…. I don’t get into none of that,” she adds.

West has been saying provocative things for years.

In 2018, he caused an uproar when he gave his opinion on slavery.

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years … For 400 years? That sounds like a choice,” said West at the time.

“You were there for 400 years, and it’s all of y’all. It’s like we’re mentally imprisoned,” added West.

Taylor appeared in West’s steamy music video for the song Fade in 2016.

According to Daily Mail, Taylor was signed to West’s record label until she left in 2020 after feeling ‘underappreciated.’

The rapper has 19.8 million followers on Instagram with only one post.

This single post is to appreciate and promote his wife’s artistic endeavours, with the caption: “So proud of my wife @biancacensori.”

West has been married to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian‘s lookalike, Bianca Censori, since December 2022.
