Teen found drugged after alleged Dobsonville rape, accused remains in custody

• A 12-year-old girl was found in distress following an alleged sexual offence in Dobsonville. 
• The accused, Tshepo Ntsimane, has abandoned his bail application and will remain in custody.
• The family has asked the public to respect their privacy as the matter proceeds in court.

A neighbour who responded to the devastating cries of a 12-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by a prominent pastor and community leader in Dobsonville says she found the teenager in a distressed and vulnerable state following an alleged sexual offence.

She told the media that the girl looked drugged, distressed, and disoriented.

The neighbour shared her account at the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court, where the accused, Tshepo Ntsimane, briefly appeared on Wednesday, 22 April 2026.

The 58-year-old, described as a community leader and priest, is accused of raping the minor on Good Friday.

Details surrounding the case remain limited as the matter is before the court. However, there was a graphic video that made rounds on social media, showing the aftermath of the incident where the helpless girl and the 58-year-old priest were in a dark room. 

There’s also a pool of blood on the black one-seater couch – the blood reportedly belongs to the victim.

The family has called on the public to refrain from sharing any distressing material linked to the incident, urging respect for the child’s privacy and recovery.
