Amapiano star Tebogo Mashego appears to be back to his roots as he reportedly moved home to rebuild his music career.

The singer, known for hits like Biri Marung, had made headlines for a series of social media outbursts while stuck in Nigeria, where he name-dropped several artists, including DJ Maphorisa, MaWhoo, and DJ Karri, and alleged that DJ Maphorisa owed him R23 million.

After the drama threatened to derail his career, Mashego has resumed interacting with his fans through Instagram Live, posting from the very room where he first started his musical journey.

Daily Sun reported that the familiar setting is a return to his beginnings, and fans are delighted to see him back in high spirits.

“Back to where it all started, poi. Home is always where the heart is,” one fan commented.

Another wrote, “We love to see you getting better each day. YourSkwinaBrezzzyyyyyy, your beautyyyyyyyyyy.”

A third added, “I don’t understand this language, but I love the sound of it. This boy has that Aura.”
