Taxi drivers fear for their lives

Fearing for their lives. That’s how taxi drivers are feeling.

This comes after two more drivers were shot and killed in full view of passengers recently.

The SA National Taxi Council says this brings the number of taxi operator murders in the last six months to 13.

It has now launched a ‘peace force’ team in an attempt to end the killings.

Santaco says it has picked up a trend where drivers are being targeted at taxi ranks.
