Bafana Bafana international Percy Tau has won his second trophy since joining Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Tau’s side beat bitter rivals Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup, with the South African winger being named in the squad.

Tau made a late cameo off the bench after only recently returning to full team training.

Al Ahly beat their bitter rivals 2-0 thanks to a first-half goal by new signing Bruno Savio and a second by Karim Fouad in the 90th minute to secure their first title under new coach Marcel Koller.

The Club of Century lifted their record-extending 12th Egyptian Super Cup title, which was the second trophy Tau has lifted in Egypt after also claiming the 2021 CAF Super Cup under Pitso Mosimane.

Tau also won two Premier Soccer League titles, a Nedbank Cup and a Telkom Knockout title as well as the CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup with Mamelodi Sundowns.

In addition, he also lifted the Belgian Pro League title during his time with Club Brugge.
