Tau & Two PSL Stars Make CAF Team Of The Decade

Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau has been voted into the CAF Team of the Decade alongside Khama Billiat and Dennis Onyango.

The South African forward who won the Champions League with Mamelodi Sundowns alongside the duo back in 2016 went on to make the switch to Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion in 2018.

However, after a couple of loan spells in Belgium with Royal Union Saint SG, Club Brugge and Anderlecht, he had only six months in the first team of the English top-flight side before returning to Africa with Al Ahly.

Tau may not have added to his Champions League silverware with the Red Devils last season but he secured the Super Cup and after the voting process was opened to fans, he made the cut alongside some of the tournament’s biggest names.

The starting eleven is unsurprisingly dominated by Egyptians, with the Red Devils legends Hossam Ashour and Hossam Ghaly – who is now on the club’s board also included.

Tanzania superstar Mbwana Samatta, formerly of TP Mazembe and Simba leads the line, while Billiat and Onyango also made the cut.
