Tau Returns For Al Ahly

Published

on

Percy Tau is set for his first game time of the new season for Al Ahly after being included in their squad for Sunday’s Egyptian Premier League game against Aswan.

The 28-year-old Bafana Bafana international has been absent for the Egyptian giants since August through injury, but having fully recovered he is eligible for selection for Al Ahly’s second league game of the new season.

Tau will be hoping for a better season than 2022/2023, where injuries saw him make him just 15 starts in the league campaign, while he came off the bench five times.

His injury problems also affected the national team, and he missed out on the international friendlies against Guinea and France earlier this year, as well as the recent games against Sierra Leone and Botswana.
