Six-time Grammy Award nominee, singer, songwriter and multi-platinum selling international R&B superstar Tamia is coming to South Africa this August, and many fans are excited about her visit.

She will headline The Biggest Women’s Month Celebration Tour Experience, which will take place in three major cities. The concerts will be held on 6 August 2026 at Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town, 7 August 2026 at Durban ICC in KwaZulu-Natal, and 10 August 2026 at SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria.

Tamia is well known for her strong voice and emotional love songs. Over the years, she has built a loyal fanbase in South Africa, with many people still enjoying her music today.

Many people between the ages of 25 and 44 grew up listening to Tamia’s music in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Tamia released one of her early popular songs, “You Put a Move on My Heart”, in 1995. She later released “So into You” in 1998 and the romantic duet “Spend My Life with You” released in 1999 with Eric Benét.

She continued to release more hits in the early 2000s, including “Stranger in My House” in 2001 and “Officially Missing You” in 2003, which became one of her most loved songs.

Another popular song, “Still” which released in 2004, also became a favourite among fans.

Other well-known songs by Tamia include “Who Do You Tell”, “This Time It’s Love”, and “Careless Whisper” a cover of the famous song by George Michael and “Rain on Me.”

For many fans, these songs remind them of their younger years, which is why her upcoming tour has created so much excitement.

CELEBRATING WOMEN’S MONTH

The tour will celebrate women, music and culture during Women’s Month. Fans can expect a special night filled with great music, nostalgia and powerful performances from one of R&B’s most loved singers.

Tickets are available exclusively through Webtickets and at Pick n Pay outlets nationwide.

TAMIA LOOKS FORWARD TO PERFORMING

According to IOL, Tamia shared her excitement about returning to South Africa. “South Africa has always shown me so much love, and I’m incredibly excited to return this August.”

“Performing during Women’s Month makes it even more special. I can’t wait to share these moments with my fans and celebrate the power of music together.”
