Rob Bentele, South Africa’s very own Sole Survivor, has taken the international stage by storm. The winner of Survivor South Africa: Island of Secrets returns to Samoa.

He will compete in Survivor Australia: Australia vs The World, airing on M-Net from 31 August at 5:30 pm.

SURVIVOR’S NEW SEASON

This exciting new season sees 14 top players from Australia and around the globe battle it out for AU$250,000, approximately R2.9 million.

Rob leads the ‘World’ tribe, the only South African contestant to appear on an international Survivor edition, according to DSTV.

Alongside him are Survivor legends such as Tony Vlachos, the two-time American winner, and Cirie Fields. Cirie is a four-time US player, and Parvati Shallow, another US winner.

Survivors from New Zealand, Quebec, and Norway also join this fierce team of veterans.

ROB ON SURVIVOR

Rob shared, “It’s an honour to represent South Africa on this global stage. The competition is tougher than ever, but I’m ready to show what we’re made of.”

The opposing ‘Australia’ tribe boasts some of the nation’s best, including David Genat, 2020 Australian All-Stars winner.

Luke Toki is also a highly popular three-time Australian contestant. Other notable players include Janine Allis, founder of Boost Juice, and Shonee Bowtell, marking a record fourth appearance.

FIRSTS ON THE SHOW

This season boasts several firsts. It’s the first to feature multiple non-American international players and the first English-language Survivor season with more women than men.

Notably, it also has five former Sole Survivors competing, a record since Winners at War.

Jonathan LaPaglia returns as host, with this likely to be his final season. He promises this series will push contestants to their limits and beyond.

SOUTH AFRICAN TALENT

For South African viewers, Rob’s participation offers a proud moment and thrilling insights into the global community.

Survivor Australia: Australia vs The World is airing exclusively on M-Net, the Home of Survivor.

As Rob Bentele battles alongside and against some of the world’s best, fans have much to cheer for. This season is set to be a gripping test of strategy, endurance, and resilience.
