SuperSport United have confirmed the suspension of Kudawashe Mahachi with immediate effect amidst serious allegations made against the Zimbabwe winger.
News filtered in Zimbabwe media last week over abuse allegations surrounding his four-year-old son.
In harrowing accusations that the player has vehemently denied since the news broke, United have taken the stance to suspend the player within their internal investigation.
“SuperSport United FC has become aware of the serious allegations levelled against our player, Kudawashe Mahachi,” the statement read.
“The club has suspended the player from all club football activities with immediate effect. He has been advised to attend to his family & the allegations against him.
“The matter is subject to judicial processes. The club will make no further comment at this time.”
