Mamelodi Sundowns could lose yet one of their stars to the French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco, as it is claimed by the media.

According to The South african, the French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have shown interest in signing the Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sphelele Mkhulise.

The 25-year old midfielder has been one of the best players to ever be produced by the former club’s coach Pitso Mosimane. He might also follow in the footsteps of the former club’s stars who moved to Europe recently.

When the AS Monaco official Franckie Tourdre was asked about the Mamelodi Sundowns star, he stated that club never comments on the transfer rumours.

After fighting to move away from the relegation zone in the past few seasons, the French club finally got back on top this season. They remain in the 3rd position, only two points behind the log leaders Lille, with only four games left.
