Defendending champion Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have been drawn in Group B alongside Egyptian side Wadi Degla for the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League.
Jerry Tshabalala’s side lifted the title in the inaugural competition without conceding a single goal in open play during the tournament and beat Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies 2-0 in the final.
They qualified as champions of the tournament, while Zambian side Green Buffaloes, qualified as champions of the COSAFA Region Qualifiers after beating the South African giants.
Sundowns, ASFAR and Wadi Degla are the only sides to have qualified for both tournaments thus far, with the Moroccans set to play host for the continental showpiece.
The tournament will take place between October and November in Rabat.
