Mamelodi Sundowns hammered Seychelles side La Passé in the CAF Champions League at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday afternoon.
Grant Kekana opened the scoring in the first minute with a powerful header following a cross by Aubrey Modiba.
Gaston Sirino should’ve made it two in the fourth minute but he scuffed his shot after being set up by Teboho Mokoena.
Sirino did make it 2-0 in the 12th minute with a placed shot from inside the box. It was 3-0 for Downs in 18th minute after the La Passé goalkeeper misjudged a cross and the ball deflected into goal from one of his defenders.
Marcelo Allende had a goal falsely ruled out in the 33rd minute but Modiba made it 4-0 with a sublime shot in the 41st minute.
Sirino completed his brace before half-time, putting a well-placed shot past the La Passé keeper.
Downs again had the ball in the back of the net just after half-time through Sphelele Mkhulise but it was ruled offside.
Second-half substitute Sipho Mbule then got in on the action, making it 6-0 for his side in the 59th minute.
Mkhulise eventually got his goal in the 86th minute, making it 7-0 for the DStv Premiership champions.
