Erling Haaland blanked in two successive league starts for only the fourth time in his Man City career, but the team made up for it as Mateo Kovacic scored two before Jeremy Doku grabbed the third for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Reds and the Citizens occupy first and second place in the standings heading into the international break; but the Gunners would not budge as they registered a 3-1 win over Southampton to continue to pile the pressure at the top.
