American comedian, actor and all round powerhouse Steve Harvey is well known for giving relationship advice on social media and on his talk show, The Steve Harvey Show. More often than not, his advice results in big debates on social media especially since most of his advice stems from the outdated relationship structures that were once upon a time a societal norm.
This time people were left in a heated discussion after he blasted men for ignoring their responsibilities as providers. According to him, men need to stop asking women what they bring to the table.

Steve Harvey may just be one of the few men in the world who believe that men are providers and should look after their families financially.
Years ago, it was expected of men but these days most couples are doing away with gender roles. According to Steve that is just wrong.

“A woman can make another you, it’s our job to take care of a woman and some children,” says Steve in a now viral video while adding that men should stop questioning what women bring to the table.

Netizens have mixed reactions
While many women agreed with the media personality, men didn’t appear to be impressed. Many of them slammed the idea of being “providers” in this day and age.
“I refuse to take advice from someone who doesn’t walk the life that he talked about,” wrote one person while another added:
“He a professional step father. I’m not taking his relationship advice.”
