Stellenbosch FC and Sekhukhune United have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s Nedbank Cup semi-final clash at Danie Craven Stadium.

A lot at is stake when the two semi-final first-timers will meet in the Winelands on Sunday, including a likely spot in CAF Confederation Cup after Orlando Pirates booked their place in the final and looking on par to finish the league in the CAF Champions League spot.

Both side have reached the semi-final of the Ke Yona Cup for the first time in their club’s history.

Stellenbosch have been scoring for fun in this competition and eliminated three Premier Soccer League sides to get to this stage, Swallows FC (3-0) in the last 32, TS Galaxy away from home in the last 16 (6-3) before knocking out defending Nedbank Cup champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the semis after coming from 1-0 down to win by 2-1.

Meanwhile, Babina Noko are also in search of their first ever trophy and could reach their first ever final.

United has had a decent run in this competition, they first eliminated third tier side Liver Brothers (6-0), then they knocked out second division side Cape Town Spurs (2-0) before sending Chippa United (2-1) packing in the quarter-finals.

It’s going to be an interesting tie at the Danie Craven Stadium, with Sekhukhune winning the last clash between the two sides with 1-0 in January – that was before in-form Iqraam Rayners signed and he has netted 15 goals in 11 games since, including three braces in the previous three Nedbank Cup rounds.

Here is how they line-up:

Stellenbosch XI: Langeveldt, Makhanya, Sibiya, Basadien, Van Rooyen, Mthethwa, Jabaar, Adams, Mendieta, Titus, Rayners

Subs:Stephens, Mcaba, Ortiz, Nduli, Mgaga, Van Wyk, Sibande, De Jong, Mngomezulu
