Stellenbosch FC easily advanced to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 5-0 win against Nsingizini Hotspurs at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, making it an 8-0 win overall.
After winning the first leg 3-0, Stellenbosch finished the job in style at home.
New player Lehlohonolo Mojela scored the first goal just 10 minutes into the game, his first for the club.
Langelihle Phili made it 2-0 in the 27th minute with a powerful shot.
Early in the second half, Andre de Jong took advantage of a mistake by Hotspurs to score again.
Omega Mdaka scored on his debut with five minutes left, and substitute Mervin Boji added a final goal in the last minute.
Stellenbosch, competing in the Confederation Cup for the first time, impressed with this performance.
They will now face a tougher opponent, AS Vita, in the next round.
Coach Steve Barker took the opportunity to rest some key players while giving others a chance to shine.
Stellenbosch controlled the game from the start, giving Nsingizini little chance to fight back.
