Cape Town Spurs duo Liam Bern and Rushwin Dortley, who was linked with Kaizer Chiefs, are back in the country after trials in Europe.
The 20-year-old Dortley was linked with Kaizer Chiefs earlier in the year after impressing the club during a January training camp in Cape Town.
However, things cooled down between the two sides and he was recently out of the country to try his luck in the Danish Superliga.
The left-footed defender is now back and training with his team Spurs in preparations for the upcoming season of 2022/23.
Meanwhile, Bern was also out of the country, trying his luck with Belgium side FC Mechelen and is also back with the Urban Warriors and training with the club.
Head coach Shaun Bartlett did not rule out possible moves, saying if it happens they will be both ready for Europe as their training methods are similar.
“Ja, we obviously are waiting,” Bartlett told iDiski Times.
“So currently they’re with the team, they’re training. When it does happen we know that also they’ll be physically capable of going across and handle whatever is thrown at them.
“But the training that we do here, that’s a good thing about it. Cape Town Spurs has got a South African coach with European methods because I’ve studied in Europe.
“So the boys have even told me, I asked them what type of training they do, it’s like no, it’s the same like yours coach.
“So I know there will not be out of depth when they go to Europe.
“No, they will not be out of depth when they go to Europe and they can handle themselves. And I think that’s the added benefit, having these players here.
“So, hopefully for me, obviously I would love to keep them, but if it does happen, we know that we’ve got adequate replacements to go and do the same business.“
