Cape Town Spurs have announced the appointment of Vasili Manousakis as the new Assistant Coach, a role he will serve to Sean Connor, the Technical Director, who is currently acting Head Coach.
Manousakis has been completing his UEFA A Licence since departing Richards Bay when his contract expired at the end of last season.
The former assistant to Benni McCarthy at Cape Town City and AmaZulu is no stranger to the Ikamva set up, having worked as Ajax Cape Town U19’s assistant to Duncan Crowie a decade ago.
Norther Irishhman, Connor, was appointed TD on the weekend, and will lead the team until a new coach is confirmed after Shaun Bartlett’s exit.
However, Connor requiring his paperwork still to be sorted, it is likely Manousakis will be on the bench for Spurs game against SuperSport United on Wednesday.
Bartlett’s assistant Nasief Morris and goalkeeper coach Calvin Marlin also made their exits from the club on Monday.
