After winning two Rugby World Cups back-to-back, it is perhaps safe to say that our boys in Green and Gold are now officially living the life of modern-day rock stars.

When players like Siya Kolisi are not taking annual trips down to Europe to brush shoulders with some of the biggest sports stars, his teammates are ensuring that they do not get left behind.

This weekend Springbok speedsters Cheslin Kolbe and Jesse Kriel fed their need for speed when they visited the annual Formula One Japanese Grand Prix.

The event sees motor teams compete in a series of Grand Prix races that are held in various parts of the world and have been hosted in Japan since 2009.

With both Springboks currently based in Japan the two recently took to Instagram showcasing some of the activities that they have been up to. As seen in the post, the duo who currently plays for Suntory Sungoliath and Canon Eagles respectively can be seen having a close inspection of the Red Bull race cars while rubbing shoulders with some influential figures in the world of sport.

Captioning his post, Cheslin wrote: “Another bucket list ticked. First time at the F1 Grand Prix”.

Meanwhile, Cheslin and Jesse were not the only ones getting VIP treatment, so did SA Rugby’s Young Player of the Year, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu.

During the Stormers’ European tour, Sacha was seen visiting some of the biggest clubs in English football.

Some of the activities included visiting Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge and Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium where he engaged in conversation with football’s biggest stars.

At the rate that things are going for the Bok players, the sky could be the limit.
