Alvaro Morata and his wife, Alice Campello, have reportedly decided to divorce after a heated argument following Spain’s Euro 2024 victory over England in July.
Morata described the split as “painful”, while Campello explained that the breakup was not due to cheating but rather “immaturity” and “instability” in their relationship.
Spanish journalist Alexia Rivas revealed that tensions between the couple reached a breaking point during the Euro 2024 celebrations in Germany.
Campello reportedly wanted to celebrate with Morata and their children alone, without her husband’s parents involved.
As Morata adjusts to life at his new club, AC Milan, it appears the couple will not get back together, with divorce papers already in progress.
“I’m tired of people accusing me of being unfaithful,” Morata told D Corazon on La 1.
“I didn’t even attend the national team party to avoid these kinds of rumours. I am heartbroken. I’ve left Spain because I can’t handle the pressure and criticism anymore.”
