The publication adds that the eco-friendly and cheap electric vehicle City Blitz, which costs nearly R200 000 each is aimed at small businesses, mines and urban delivery services.

“The tiny Chinese vehicle is imported by EV Africa, a subsidiary of motor retail and car hire giant Combined Motor Holdings (CMH)”, reports TimesLIVE.

The car is available in four models, supported by 4-year/60 000 km warranties, requires a driver’s licence and costs about 20c/km to operate.

  • A R199 900 is two-seater
  • A R239 900, which is a four-seater
  • Or a R239 900, single cab pickup
  • Or a R249 900 panel van

“There are no airbags but the City Blitz is built with a monocoque cage to provide safety in a rollover or collision”, adds TimesLIVE.
