The entertainment industry is in mourning following the sudden death of talented actress and television presenter Londiwe Faith Nene (35).

The popular South African personality who had a role in Youngins on Showmax passed away this past Saturday, 11 October 2025, her family confirmed in a statement released via her official Instagram account.

The news has been met with shock by fans and colleagues alike, particularly as Nene had been active on social media just days before the announcement.

The family’s brief statement shared the heartbreaking news and made an urgent plea for privacy.

“As a family, we are deeply heartbroken by this loss and kindly ask for privacy as we navigate through this time of sorrow,” the message read.

“Your understanding, compassion, and prayers mean a great deal to us as we find strength to comfort each other.”

While the family confirmed the tragic loss, they did not disclose the cause of death.

They indicated that further updates, including details on the funeral arrangements and potentially more information on what led to her passing, would be provided in due course.

According to her bio, Nene was a qualified journalist and was a prankster on the Moja Love show Bheka Sikbambile. Most recently, Nene played the role of Aunt Thuli on the popular Showmax show Youngins.

She also had minor roles in Adulting and the e.tv soapie Durban Gen.
