Sophie Ndaba’s Ex-husband Max Lichaba Turns To Pastor After Being Called A Devil
We guess Max Lichaba’s stepson really hit him deep! Max who was married to veteran actress Sophie Ndaba has decided to change his career into a religious one months after his stepson called him a devil.
According to reports reaching us he has resigned as MD of the popular chesa nyama Kwa Lichaba Lounge to heed his pastoral calling.

Sophie Ndaba’s estranged husband declared on Saturday that he was leaving the “chesa nyama outlets and brands” to become a pastor in a statement shared with SurgeZirc SA.
“I decided to resign principally because of the decision to follow my calling of being a pastor,” he said.
While the business operations of Kwa Lichaba Lounge will continue to be managed by the Lichaba family, Max will begin his pastoral adventure in the coming months at Nation Hope Ministries in Johannesburg’s East Rand.
“I will not have shares in the business and I’m parting ways with the brand. I have left it to the family to run. It remains a family legacy regardless of my involvement as the business employs more than 30 family members. They are trained and capable of running it in my absence,” he said.
Max claims he always knew he had a calling in ministry since he was 12, which led to him being ordained when he was 22.
“I have been avoiding the calling and even started alcohol businesses. The calling has been heavy and those close to me always knew. It’s now time for its manifestation.

“I have been planning to resign for a while and the Bible says you cannot serve two masters so I had to choose one and follow what God has called me for.”
Max attributes this change in his life to his experiences as a young man, such as unsuccessful marriages.
Max made headlines after claims of abuse and infidelity surfaced after the end of his marriage to actress Sophie Ndaba. It didn’t stop there, Sophie’s son made a diss track titled ‘My Stepfather Is A Devil”.
In the track, the young man exposes what has been happening in his mom’s marriage. He claims Max cheated on his mom even with his (Sophie’s son) friends. Not only that apparently he milked her dry, left her broke and was also physically abusing her.
Well, the businessman-turned-pastor admitted to cheating on his wife, but fiercely denied ever touching a woman.
“I took everything to God and He is my source of strength. I spent most of my time in prayer asking God to give me strength and courage to start the ministry as I knew I was called to minister, especially with the focus of encouraging, inspiring, and giving hope to the hopeless through the word of God.”
Hmmm, should we maybe expect another diss track, “My Stepfather isn’t a changed man” maybe?
