Somizi says cheating should never be forgiven

Somizi

Somizi Mhlongo has sparked a new wave of online debate after sharing his firm stance on cheating.

In a video posted by Metro FM on Thursday, 13 November 2025, the media personality made it clear that he doesn’t believe infidelity should ever be forgiven.

The star explained that cheating is not something that happens accidentally, but an act a person thinks about before going through with it. Because of that, Somizi said remorse means nothing to him once the trust is broken.

“I say this: cheating should not be forgiven. You will thank me later, 100 years from now, when I have a statue at Klipspruit, you’ll walk by that statue and look at it, and say Somizi was right,” he said.

Somizi added that no amount of apologising would convince him to stay with a partner who has been unfaithful.

“Cheating shouldn’t be forgiven, I don’t care how remorseful you are, because I don’t believe in the Gods of my homosexual blood that cheating is a mistake. Cheating is premeditated. If someone is remorseful, can they be a better person for the next person, but they’ve missed that boat with me.”
