Somizi denies being on the run amid sheriff claims

Media personality Somizi Mhlongo has hit back at reports suggesting he is being pursued by the sheriff over unpaid salaries linked to a company called Search Light.

Recent reports from Sunday World alleged that the sheriff made multiple attempts to locate Somizi and his associates at their Sandton offices after employees reportedly went unpaid.

The publication quoted Hotellica union representative Thabiso Putswe, who claimed the sheriff had visited the premises three times but found them vacant.

Taking to social media to clear the air, Somizi firmly dismissed the allegations and distanced himself from the company in question.

“I would like to clearly state the company referred to in the article does not belong to me, has never been registered under my name, and I have no association with it whatsoever,” he wrote.

He went on to call the allegations “completely false and misleading,” making it clear that he has no ties to the business or the controversy surrounding it.
